Supporting Primary Healthcare in Dawson Creek and the South Peace
Background
Juniper Health Collaborative was founded with a vision by local providers to create a supportive space for the South Peace Primary Care Network, with the goal of expanding to other practices in the South Peace as needs and interests grow over time. Recognizing the need for innovative approaches to recruit and retain healthcare professionals, the Collaborative is committed to building a team-based, patient-centered, and family-focused model of care. Currently in the early stages of development, Juniper Health Collaborative is focused on establishing a board that will enable primary care providers to dedicate more time to patient care by reducing administrative burdens. The Collaborative works in partnership with practitioners and community stakeholders to guide the provision of primary and complementary care services, ensuring that the healthcare needs of the community and region are met.
